THIS FLEET WEEK, HELP US KICK SCURVY’S BUTT 🍋🍋🟩🍊
As I am certain you are aware, once a year the U.S. Navy descends upon the waterfront of San Francisco for a little festival of flight known as Fleet Week.
During Fleet Week, dozens of naval vessels release a host of ocean-weary sailors onto our shores, many of whom are feeling earth beneath their feet for the first time in months. Unbeknownst to these mariners (and the unsuspecting public), their time at sea can leave them suffering from one of the scourges of seafaring life: SCURVY.
That in mind, the Sausalito Liquor Company will be conducting a public Anti-Scurvy Campaign during Fleet Week, encouraging the populace to combat the foul disease with curatives such as lemons, limes, and oranges. 🍋🍋🟩🍊
Naturally, the best way to ingest such anti-scorbutics (it’s a real word) is in a cocktail prepared with Sausalito Liquor Company whisky or gin. Don’t be a Age of Exploration seafarer, down on his or her luck, not a lemon in sight. Instead, be a 21st-century problem-solver — with a a delicious cocktail firmly in hand.

Friday and Saturday nights (6-10pm) in North Beach (look for us around Columbus/Grant) and the Marina (look for us on Chestnut and Union Streets)
Saturday afternoon on the Embarcadero and Marina Green.
